Location: New Iberia, LA
Client: Richard Allain
Originally an old Ford dealership, Allain’s Jewelry adapted the building into a jewelry and watch repair store in 1979. After years of being in business, Paul J. Allain, Architect APAC was hired to renovate the interior and exterior of the historic structure. Brick columns were added to encase the exposed steel columns and the covered parking area was enhanced with the addition of brick paving, curbed barriers and a new glass storefront. Termite and water damage was mitigated and the buildings structure was stabilized. On the interior, the display area was expanded to accommodate for more show room space and updated with modern finishes and fixtures to complement the historic architecture.
