Downtown New Iberia Craftsman Cottage

A Craftsman Cottage located on the Bayou Teche in Downtown New Iberia needed a  curb appeal presence and a new front façade. We designed a front porch addition. The porch wraps around the mud room. The design brought back the original architectural features- staying true to the era of the home. Due to the Bayou Teche waterway as the main visible feature from the front of the home, a porch was only just. The porch allows for a panoramic view of the Bayou Teche and Downtown New Iberia. The porch allows for a livable area for entertaining- playing suit to Southern Louisiana culture. To continue the visibility into the home, a large cased opening was installed in the front foyer.
