Tensas Tower on the Teche
Project Description:
Responding to the context of the site while utilizing current trends in sustainability, the Tensas Tower emerges as a contemporary model of compact yet innovative residential architecture. The form and function of the structure was directly influenced from the industrial and nautical presence of the adjacent Bayou Teche waterway. Through vertical space planning and construction, the design is able to create a minimal building footprint helping to maximize thesurrounding natural green space that promotes biodiversity of native wildlife and vegetation in an urban environment.
